ABOUT THIS COURSE
This course helps future university-level English teachers develop confident and effective classroom interaction with the support of artificial intelligence. You will refine your skills of asking questions, giving clear instructions, providing feedback, and managing interaction in language lessons while working in a safe, AI-supported environment.

The course combines theory and practice, introducing key concepts of pedagogical interaction alongside hands-on work with generative AI tools. By designing interaction scenarios, analysing communication choices, and reflecting on your teaching practice, you will build essential professional skills for modern language education and prepare for continuous professional growth in digitally enriched classrooms.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
  • Get acquainted with
    key characteristics of pedagogical interaction in foreign language teaching
  • Develop
    the ability to adapt teacher talk and interactional behaviour to different pedagogical contexts
  • Practise
    modelling, analysing, and reflecting on pedagogical interaction with the support of AI tools
  • Master
    core interaction strategies used in foreign language lessons (questioning, instructions, feedback, interaction management)
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
  • Mind that this course entails NO lectures, which is why you are expected to do the reading before class to be able to contribute to discussions/games/etc.
  • It is possible (and advised) to bring your notes to class when possible.
  • Hard Work
    Complete assigned readings and practical tasks on classroom interaction and AI in language teaching
  • Classroom Participation
    Participate actively in class discussions, interactive sessions, and peer review activities
  • Collaboration
    Take part in assessments, including reflections, scenario analyses, and final evaluations
